1. Watson Lake – Located approximately 4 miles from downtown Prescott, Watson Lake Park contains Watson Lake. Watson Lake is 380 acres large and has beautiful blue water surrounded by huge granite boulders. Watson Lake is also boarded by the Prescott Peavine National Recreational Trail. Talk about a perfect trail to ride your horses on! This trail is relatively flat and has breathtaking views.
2. Lynx Lake Recreation Area – This 55-acre lake quietly sets amidst tall pines in the cool Bradshaw Mountains high country just a few miles southeast of Prescott, Arizona. At a 5,500 foot elevation, the cool, refreshing summer temperatures attracts a great number of visitors from the Phoenix area wanting to escape the desert heat. Lynx is the centerpiece of the Prescott National Forest and features boating, fishing, camping, hiking and tranquil solitude.
