arizona horse properties discusses some of the local attractions for horse lovers in prescott.
Did you know that Prescott Arizona has special events geared toward the horse lover?  Whether it be rodeos, parades, museums, etc…Prescott has much to offer someone who loves the wild wild west and their horses.  Arizona Horse Properties discusses some of the horse activities in Prescott:

World’s Oldest Rodeo – This yearly event takes place at the Prescott Rodeo Grounds just west of Downtown.  It has been going strong since 1888.  Originally called a “cowboy tournament,”  it is now a multimillion dollar enterprise.  It is held over July 4th week and is always sold out.  Make sure to get your tickets early.

Annual Equifest – Held in the fall each year at the Prescott Rodeo Grounds.  It is free and fun for the whole family.  There are seminars, demonstrations, children’s events, tack sale, food and art.  Not just horses either…as there are many different animals in attendance.  There is also a horse sale!  The festivities end with a horse riding competition.

Phippen Art Musem – Cowboy and Southwestern art done by many different artists.  They even have an annual “Hold your horses!” exhibition & sale.  All the art is in tribute to horses.  There are more than 30 artists who participate in that event alone!  But wait, this is more than just a museum.  Every third Thursday of the month they have a special dinner program.  The entertainment has been known to include re-enactors, musicians, artists and historians.

Prescott Horse Back Riding Trips – What a unique way to explore Prescott’s countryside.  There are casual scenic trips to steep rocky terrain.  There is even a trip through the running water of the Verde River.  There are trips for all age groups and skill levels.  Children to Seniors.  Come be a Cowboy for a day and feel what it was like to be an American Icon.

As you can see, Prescott is definitely a horse lover’s paradise.  We would love to show you some of the beautiful horse properties available.  If you have any questions or would like to schedule a viewing of a particular property, please contact us by calling 928-713-7501, or visit our website at http://www.arizonahorseproperty.com today!
